Looking for the best wood-fired pizza in Fitzroy North? In 2002 we took a trip to Italy and brought back our favourite recipes to Gertrude Street. Since then our wood-fired pizza has become a local favourite.

Our signature Badabing pizza has been on the menu since we first opened; it’s a NYC-inspired pizza with a touch of chilli oil.

Whether you want a classic Margherita or something a little extra, you’ll find it at Ladro in Fitzroy.

A Gertrude Street institution since 2003

Ladro was one of the first restaurants to open on Gertrude Street. We opened our doors in 2003 and our wood-fired pizza quickly became a local favourite.

Your questions answered

Do you offer gluten-free?

Yes, we have gluten-free pizza bases and also have gluten-free gnocchi. Several of our starter dishes also have gluten-free alternatives. Please chat to your waiter about our gluten-free options.

We use rice flour to dust the benches while making our pizza. This is a gluten-free flour.

Is Ladro BYO?

No, Ladro is not BYO.

Are you vegan?

Many of our dishes can be altered to be made vegan. This includes our pizzas, which can be topped with vegan cheese.
