Wowsers, what a year!
At least Ladro & Ladro TAP will be open everyday except the main public holidays, right through the holiday season. To be be frank, without all your support, we’re not certain we’d have made it to Christmas this year – so thank you. Thank you for supporting us through takeaway only, buying goods from our Ladro Supermarket & Bottleshop, and most of all for dining with us the last six weeks. We’re so glad to be back doing what we love and can’t wait til 2021 ticks over.
Have a safe, feast filled and laughter riddled holiday with all your favourite people – but if COVID restrictions are keeping you apart, just know we’ll be thinking of you.

We miss our mums. We’re sure you do too.
Nothing is more comforting than a warm, reassuring mum hug when life challenges us most, and Covid lockdown sure is testing that theory. This weekend most of us have to settle for a warm hug of mama style cooking instead. Thanks for you votes too – the two most popular options are in the boxes.

Ladro has two food box options with 3 x courses for you to reheat at home – brunch, lunch or dinner, for two, four or more. Add to the boxes with Prosecco, Wine, Negroni or fresh items from our LADRO SUPERMARKET.

From Sunday 21st MAY, you can sample some of the finest rare brews from Italy + Spain. Drink your way through continental Europe without ever having left Prahran. Don’t fancy beer?… Try the LoverBeer Sour, similar to an aged, oaked flinty riesling, or 7 other brews from Italy’s BREWFIST, BIRRA DEL BORGO and Spain’s most awarded craft brewery, NAPARBIER. Try them all with a TAP paddle. Available for a limited time until sold out.
We also have our usual vino TAP selection as well as some local gems.

Happy New Year!

We all slept in today…No, not really, but we are opening up a little later than usual due to the joys of using a wood fire oven. When we shut down for long periods, say 9 days like we did this year, the oven can take more than 24 hours to warm up again to over 400 degrees! Hot stuff!

So today we are opening at:
5:30 in FITZROY and 4pm in PRAHRAN.

See you tonight for the first pizza in 2016 ! ! !

MOONDOG X LADRO BEER DINNER

You have to admit, if you like beer, this BEER DEGUSTATION DINNER is going to be awesome!

Moondog Brewery brews some of the country’s finest in the shadows of CUB down in the back streets of Abbotsford. As they say, good things come in little packages and this wee brewery is testament to that.

Make this the date of your Christmas party, grab some mates or fly solo… Just be sure not to miss this beery event.
Whilst your listening to the Moondog guest speaker, we’ll be matching 5 x courses to 5 x beers for you to feast on, so be sure to BYO an empty belly.

Holgate Brewhouse will be be pouring 5 of their finest beers all made by hand in their Woodend Microbrewery for your drinking pleasure. Meanwhile Ladro chef Arron Edwards will be showcasing 5 great dishes perfectly matched to each beer…

With BEER + PIZZA + NEGRONI flowing until midnight, you’ll be treated to some pretty rocking vinyl sounds spun by Melbourne’s finest Music Selectors. Selectors from the famed Wax O’ Paradiso, Melbourne Deepcast + Butter Sessions, amongst others, will be featured every Friday + Saturday nights.

It’s an eating drinking Masterclass, where you get to meet the makers and good folk from each of the breweries we have on TAP, share a feast of 4-5 beers matched to dishes from the Ladro TAP kitchen…what’s not to love!

First TAP off the rank is Feral Brewing Co. A family owned hand-crafted micro brewery 20 kms outside of Perth WA in the Swan Valley. Known for pushing the boundaries of their craft, Feral is a mutli-award winning brewery and brew everything from a very drinkable [addictive] session beer to unusually delicious styles, like the Smoked Porter we have on TAP at Ladro.

We’ve been very busy taste testing over 150 beers from the finest brewers around the nation…tough job and all in the name of research of course.

We are now proud to present the line-up and we think you’ll be just as chuffed as we are. We look forward to seeing you at Ladro TAP soon for a fine beverage. We’ve also expanded our hours in Prahran so you can eat & drink earlier, til later.
