Wowsers, what a year!
At least Ladro & Ladro TAP will be open everyday except the main public holidays, right through the holiday season. To be be frank, without all your support, we’re not certain we’d have made it to Christmas this year – so thank you. Thank you for supporting us through takeaway only, buying goods from our Ladro Supermarket & Bottleshop, and most of all for dining with us the last six weeks. We’re so glad to be back doing what we love and can’t wait til 2021 ticks over.
Have a safe, feast filled and laughter riddled holiday with all your favourite people – but if COVID restrictions are keeping you apart, just know we’ll be thinking of you.

Ladro Covid-19 & Takeaway

Our workplace & the way we do business has changed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and this is what we are doing:

HEALTH & SAFETY FIRST

1.  We’re staying healthy, and only our healthy staff will be working so we can continue to keep you safe and well nourished from a trusted source.

2.  We are sanitising everything, (even the kitchen sink) with certified Covid-19 killing sanitiser; a bio-sufactant that is antiviral, kills 99.9% of germs, with 4 hour protection and it’s enviro-friendly.

3.  Sanitiser is located everywhere at Ladro for you & all staff to use.

4.  We’re offering DRIVE-UP, WALK-UP & LADRO DELIVERY on Friday, Saturday & Sunday by Ladro staff, with DELIVEROO through the week & soon Uber. Order direct with Ladro and revenue stays in Ladro’s hands instead of multinational giants.

5.  We’re here to serve you, listen & help. If you need help, or just a chat we’re here! Please email, call or visit us, albeit socially distanced.

1.  You can now order all your takeaway & Ladro Supermarket goodies directly online at Ladro thanks to our friends at Hungry Hungry .

2.  Visit our new Ladro Supermarket selling food for you to prepare at home. Available as single items or bulk orders for freezer & fridge storage so you can enjoy some comfort (food) during Covid-19. Prices start at $5, because we know how hard it is to operate on a shoestring. We’re doing it too.
Fresh pastas, sauces, toilet paper cocktails, wine & beer…new items are being added every week so we can try to keep as many of our staff employed as possible.

DRIVE-UP

We NOW have designated DRIVE-UP points in Fitzroy & Prahran for all orders as an option.
Order online, fill in your number plate, DRIVE-UP in safety and we’ll run the order out to your car (after sanitising of course). NO delivery driver contamination, just our highest sanitary standards meeting yours. We think this is the safest way to get food to you!

We’ll keep you updated as our Ladro Supermarket evolves and things change which seems to be almost daily!

Mother's Day with Ladro 2020

We miss our mums. We’re sure you do too.
Nothing is more comforting than a warm, reassuring mum hug when life challenges us most, and Covid lockdown sure is testing that theory. This weekend most of us have to settle for a warm hug of mama style cooking instead. Thanks for you votes too – the two most popular options are in the boxes.

Ladro has two food box options with 3 x courses for you to reheat at home – brunch, lunch or dinner, for two, four or more. Add to the boxes with Prosecco, Wine, Negroni or fresh items from our LADRO SUPERMARKET.

It will be a very different ANZAC DAY this year.
In a way we are fighting our own real-time war, on Covid-19. And more than ever we need to set some time aside and remember all those before us who battled for the liberties we have taken for granted…for so long, maybe until now.

Ladro has created an ANZAC FOOD PACK so you can break some bread, share a meal and reflect on love, life and lost souls.
We have 2 options (lamb or vegetarian) and each pack feeds 2 people x 3 courses.
Packs can be made up for 4, 6, 8, 10+, simply let us know when you place your order.
Pay it forward to someone in need, a frontline worker or maybe just needing some Ladro love and we’ll deliver it within 5 kms of Fitzroy or Prahran.

Ladro EASTER FOOD PACK - We're open everyday during Easter

You may be in lockdown this Easter but Ladro is going to make sure you get to celebrate!
Pre-order before Good Friday for Saturday collection via DRIVE-UP, PICK-UP or DELIVERY within a 5km radius of Fitzroy and Prahran.
Nothing’s gonna stop us this Easter (not even Covid-19) and we’ll be OPEN Good Friday, Easter Saturday & Easter Sunday for takeaway and Ladro Supermarket essentials. We taking Easter Monday off to spend time with family and friends (socially distanced of course).

What is the EASTER FOOD PACK?

Each pack feeds 2 people for a Sunday Feast but you can order for 4, 6, 8, 10 or more. Everything will be prepared for you to reheat & eat!
Easter packs are $55 for two people, valued at $72. Times are tight for everyone so we’ve kept it Covid-budget-friendly.
Pay it forward and order for healthcare workers needed a bit of Ladro love or someone you know who could use a treat.
*Hot Cross Buns but the awesome Neds need to be ordered by Wednesday.

Every Wednesday night we invite you to Gnocchi Flight Night in Prahran and Fitzroy. For $25pp you can feast on 3 x gnocchi flavours (our personal favourites), handmade by our gnocchi obsessed chefs.

Our soft pillowy dumplings have garnered a bit of a cult following over the past 15 years for good reason. We make our gnocchi daily using only the finest ingredients and in true Italian tradition keep our sauces simple.

The current Gnocchi Flight Night menu includes:

GNOCCHI ALLA SORRENTINA

Sugo, Mozzarella di Bufala, Basil, Parmigiano

GNOCCHI BIANCA

Burnt Butter and Crispy Sage

GNOCCHI AL RAGU DI CAPRA

12 Hour Goat Ragu with Majoram, Oregano and Basil

Vegetarians can be catered for (sorry vegans & gluten free-ers), simply let your waiter know you’re a vegetarian upon arrival and our chefs will adjust the menu.

Tap Beer* & Wine Flights are also being served for $15 pp when you order your Gnocchi Flight.

Our new $35 Feed Me Menu is perfect for lunchtime functions and seated dinners. It caters for all dietary needs so everyone will enjoy the feast. Gluten free, vegan, dairy free and other dietary options are available upon request. The $35 Feed Me can be adapted to suit stand-up functions within our function spaces, or you can simply select one of our stand up & cocktail menus.

Ladro is ideal for functions and events of all sizes and occasions whether intimate gatherings, special celebrations, presentations and launch events.

Our stunning spaces, marble tables and minimal Italian interior spaces can be a arranged to suit your occasion and styled to create the perfect atmosphere. AV equipment available includes a ceiling mounted projector with built in screen in Prahran and microphones with zoned audio. We love live music and welcome bands and ensembles and if you want us to take all the hard work out of organising live music, we have exclusive access to some of the finest music makers Melbourne has to offer.

Of course if dancing is a must, we arrange a dance floors to boogie the night away. Our Prahran restaurant has a 24 hour licence so you can dance til you drop!

Set the scene with our local award winning florist Flowers Vassette . They create stunning table pieces right through through to ceiling mounted floral arrangements for dramatic effect. Our resident designer will also create stunning greenery or floral pieces when you want a more minimal aesthetic. Let us know your thoughts and we’ll organise a customised quote.
